The Indonesian government has set the schedule of national holidays and collective leave days for the year 2024 through a Joint Decision of the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB). This decision regulates 27 days off, comprising 17 national holidays and 10 collective leave days.

Determination Process

This joint decision was formalized in Joint Decision No. 855/2023, No. 3/2023, and No. 4/2023. The determination was made after a meeting attended by the relevant ministers, chaired by the Minister of Human Development and Culture Coordination. The purpose of this determination is to provide guidance for government and private institutions in planning their activities throughout the year 2024.

Work Units and Organizational Units

In this joint decision, it is mentioned that work units, organizational units, and companies that provide direct services to the public have the right to arrange employee assignments on national holidays and collective leave days.
